Behind-the-Scenes: Wrensilva Fall 2020 Catalog

A visual story of craftsmanship, high design and technological innovation

One step into Gold-Diggers LA and you can feel the energy of the musicians and Hollywood legends who have passed through over the years. An environment fueled by music plus an aesthetic vibe to match, the historic Santa Monica Boulevard bar turned disco-nightclub was an organic fit for Wrensilva’s Fall 2020 catalog shoot.

Then again, Wrensilva is a natural fit for Gold-Diggers. When renovating the space a few years back, owner Dave Neupert selected a Wrensilva to compliment the Gold-Diggers recording studio. “The product is amazing. It’s beautifully crafted. It fits in with our design aesthetic,” says Dave.

The newest addition to the Wrensilva console family, Loft , was another natural fit in the space and fun to shoot alongside The Standard and M1 against a backdrop of textured floors, artful light fixtures and furniture adorned in deep velvet.

Wrensilva’s consoles are beautiful but they’re also capable and built with integrity. Along with the magic of music creation, that’s something you feel intensely in all of these photos — especially the cover shot.

“That shot happened at the very end of the day in the moody bar space,” Art Director Drew Frist remembers. We’ll call it our tribute to the talented artists who have sat at that bar or visited Gold-Diggers to drink, sleep and record. Thanks to our Art Director Drew Frist and the incredible photography duo Andy and Gemma Ingall. And we also can thank Andy for the great music on rotation during the shoot. He had a mix of Tame Impala, Animal Collective, The Shins, The National, The Black Keys and more on rotation, which was very much part of the vibe. Have a listen here:
