We’ve chosen four record clubs that showcase a thoughtful and diverse selection of vinyl with records that bend genres, celebrate legends and offer you something that you might not have come across otherwise. There is something for every vinyl collector — the element of surprise, the thrill of a limited edition pressing, the golden age of jazz, and a vinyl x wine pairing hand-picked by a GRAMMY nominated recording artist.
The Wine & Vinyl Collectors Club (WVCC) was established by GRAMMY nominated artist, Mayer Hawthorne. The club is founded on the premise that music and wine, when paired together, can create an experience greater than the sum of their parts. Every three months, WVCC members receive a box containing three bottles of wine and one vinyl record, all hand-selected by Mayer to be a full-body experience.
This winter’s box, shipping in early December, features one of the most beautiful and collectible psychedelic soul LPs in the world - with rare original pressings going for as much as $2800 at auction. Expect a mix of organically farmed, low-intervention wines from boutique producers across France, Italy, California and beyond. Alongside the Q4 release, WVCC will be re-releasing limited amounts of previous boxes as an a-la-carte option this holiday season (while supplies last).
Subscribers describe WVCC as a ritual that slows time. Boxes arrive quarterly, but the listening and tasting stretch far beyond that first pour. A-la-carte boxes work as the perfect gift for friends and family as an introduction to the analog lifestyle. The community has become a mix of music heads, oenophiles, and design-minded collectors who appreciate the soft crackle of a needle drop, the label art, and the tasting notes that guide the experience.
Mayer’s approach to curation feels less like programming and more like storytelling. He often finds emotional parallels between a record’s sound and a wine’s structure: rhythm and acidity, warmth and bass, complexity and finish. The result is a sensory dialogue that feels effortless, even though every detail is intentional.
For music fans who care deeply about how music lives in their space, WVCC is a natural fit. It’s an experience that respects the art of listening and the pleasure of good multi-sensory design. The boxes themselves are beautiful to open, the records are pressed with care, and the wines arrive ready to share. It’s a club for those who believe that how you consume art matters just as much as the art itself.
The Wine & Vinyl Collectors Club ships nationwide (everywhere except Mississippi), with both subscription and a-la-carte options available. To join or learn more, visit WineAndVinyl.cc and get ready to pour a glass and shake that ass.
